CO-NNECTED HOUSES
The social housing project in Pittsburgh's Polish Hill neighborhood explores the principles of the 2000-Watt society for Co-living. Sharing of energy and food resources in housing units and communal spaces not only becomes a sustainable living alternative, but enhances relationships amongst neighbors. The project incorporates typical Polish Hill elements such as dormers, passages and bridges in a modern way and incorporates a diversity of housing and communal area typologies.
Time: Spring 2021 | Team: Varun Shah & Taylor Latimer
